Pasifika Futures is committed to supporting families to change the narrative, to enable young Pacific people to have a bright future and
to see all Pacific families contributing and participating fully in the community and New Zealand society.

Pasifika Futures recently released a report that reveals the current state of New Zealand’s Pacific community.

The report provides a current statistical overview of Pacific peoples in New Zealand and is based on data published by a range of organisations, including Statistics New Zealand, MBIE, New Zealand Parliament, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development, and the Salvation Army’s Social and Policy Unit.

Pasifika Futures Chief Executive Debbie Sorensen says the report updates the current state of the Pacific population, and sadly it still paints a grim picture of Pacific people struggling to catch up with non-Pacific communities and the outcomes in many areas for Pacific individuals and families remain a challenge.
