Auckland Roadshow Nurturing Intergenerational Dialogue
Updates / Community , 12 Jul 24
In a compelling demonstration of community spirit and shared aspirations, the Pasifika Futures Limited (PFL) Roadshow recently made a significant impact in Auckland, leaving a legacy of inspired minds and empowered families. Hosted at the Pasifika Medical Association Head Office, Fale Maama, the event represented a pivotal occasion for nurturing intergenerational dialogue and fostering innovation within the Pacific community.

With its largest attendance yet, the roadshow drew families from all corners of Auckland, highlighting a deep-seated hunger for knowledge and opportunity among Pacific families.

Central to the discussions was the belief that education stands as the cornerstone for achieving a prosperous life. Speakers and attendees alike echoed this sentiment, highlighting the power of education in unlocking new possibilities.

PFL Board Member, Soana Pamaka, emphasised the pivotal role of community members themselves in driving meaningful change.

"You are the people grounded in your community; we [PFL] are merely your enablers.”

Reflecting on the night’s event, Mrs Pamaka made it clear that while external support and resources are invaluable, the most significant barriers often lie within our own minds.

The last session for Auckland will be held on Monday 15th July. Keep up to date with our PFL Roadshow on our Facebook page or Instagram
