Charlie expressed gratitude to Pasifika Futures for their acknowledgement of Kuki Learning's work. 

"We were shocked but felt proud receiving the award. Pasifika Futures' support has allowed us to invest in resources to help elevate our work.  

"With their continued support, we're hoping to expand our vision by creating a dynamic website and hands-on resources to empower our Cook Islands communities."

Charlie says it is rewarding to see the fruits of their work when families start to engage with the language. 

"I recently came back from Australia and many of the parents and kids were speaking Māori to me, phrases which we teach through our platforms. That was a motivation for us to keep going and continuing to teach the next generation."
